Though we’re used to hearing bars from Beast Coast rapper Joey Bada$$, the young artist is now flexing his acting chops in a new short film, No Regrets.
The film finds an aged Joey in the year 2062 reflecting on his hip hop past, eventually time-travelling back to 2012 to see where it all began. From there, we see the rapper sweeping floors at a restaurant, making his way up on stage for an early performance, and meeting the love of his life.

You’ll see how the rest of the story plays out, as well as a sample of a tasty new Bada$$ number called “Black Beatles,” via the 15-minute film down above. The film is directed by Rik Cordero and scored by the affiliated Statik Selektah.
