Watch at your own risk

If you’re eating, or an Indiana Pacers fan, don’t watch this video.  During a Team USA scrimmage–yes, Paul George probably won’t play basketball again in 2014 by way of a pick-up game with his teammates–Paul George took it upon himself to chase down James Harden, who was fast-breaking to an easy layup.  George took a huge leap in an attempt to thwart Harden’s shot attempt, and his right foot collided with where the base of the hoop apparatus meets the floor, causing his right leg to snap into a grotesque 90-degree angle, and the rest of his body to fall to the floor.

Due to the camera angle, it didn’t appear as if it was clear to the announcers just how bad George’s injury was, but one teammate on the “opposing” team was visibly disturbed by what he was seeing.  Towards the end of the clip, you can see Paul George breathing heavily staring down at his leg, and he appeared to utter the same word twice in between nervous inhaling: “f*ck”.  There’s a zoomed-in Vine that you can watch that shows the leg snap a little clearer here.

UPDATE: Paul George has undergone successful surgery on his leg, and is currently recovering.  He is however, in danger of completely missing the 2014-2015 regular season.  He sent out a tweet shortly after midnight assuring everyone he would be okay.
