That was fast

Remy Ma‘s release from prison didn’t come without a glitch–she was initially expected to be released on July 31, but because of a logistical issue, she was held inside for an extra day–but now that the famed Bronx rapper is finally a free woman, we’d expect her to get into the studio as soon as possible.

Apparently, “asap” was last night, when Remy ended up in the studio with DJ Khaled, the bonafide crafter of hip-hop anthems and boisterous DJ personality.  It seems like the perfect move for Remy. DJ Khaled is currently the most relevant member/affiliate of the original Terror Squad crew, and his singles have consistently been among the most popular in hip-hop for the past 7 years.  If Remy Ma finds herself on his next radio release, she would have fast-tracked herself right back into the mainstream without releasing a song.

No word on whether Remy plans on releasing a new album before the year is over, but Khaled is certainly prepping his new LP, I Changed A Lot, for a 4th quarter release.
