During a phone interview with Hot 97, Nicki Minaj fed us some interesting information about how her latest single which is the unexpected remix of “Flawless” ft Beyonce came about. The crew got right into it by simply asking “how did that come about?”.
“Well um I think like a month or two ago Jay called me when I was on my way to vegas and was like Beyonce wants you to remix “Flawless.”
Nicki Minaj seem to share the same dismay as her fans while telling the story:
“After I got proper medical help and started breathing again, I was like, ‘What?’ She sent me a version that she wanted. She told me, ‘I want you to be you. I don’t want you to hold back.” I said, ‘You sure?’ She said, ‘Yeah. I want you to just be you and do you.’ I was actually in New York writing the verse. I recorded the verse in New York and she stopped by the studio. She was such a sweetheart. She was hyping me up, like, ‘Yeah, do your thing. Don’t hold back. Go in.’ And I said, ‘Okay, all right.”
Minaj even said the two were in the studio together, although the interview was only eight minutes the conversation went on about Remy Ma getting out of jail, and how she would love to work with her.
Over the weekend Remy told Funkmaster Flex she wanted to collaborate with Nicki and Iggy.Hm, even though rumors surface on Nicki and Iggy. The three should come together for a dope track representing for all dope females.
