What to do with a track featuring two of the biggest names to come out of the South… Why not add one more? One half of Run The Jewels, Killer Mike, is strictly about the money, particularly by the boatload on the remix to T.I.’s “About The Money.” The fat, black flow flipper complements the drill sergeant demeanor of T.I. and Thugger’s lethargic auto-tune on the hook. T.I. shows up in his business suit for his verses. You can save your breathe if you didn’t come prepared to talk shop. The song earns bonus points for a hook that nicely tags onto the tail end of each verse.
My only question is, aren’t we passed the simple Photoshopping of the featured artists with paper money just floating around for the artwork?
Regardless, I’m sure I’m not the only one looking forward to the follow up Run The Jewels album. Until then, they’ll be on tour this summer:
