Really, WHAT ARE WE SUPPOSED TO DO? After moving, adapting and trying to settle in my own. That seems to be one of the biggest questions of my life.  It all seems like a dream when you honestly can’t believe what’s happening. A young man was shot and killed by someone who is supposed to protect us, yet it’s said he is getting a paid leave and we didn’t really know who the officer was until four days later. Is this SLOWLY becoming the Civil Rights Movement again? SLOWLY because it seems as if the people we look up to are slow to get their two cents in to say something. But, you have to think, we’re all human which makes it more of a human PROBLEM! Open your eyes. It is honestly not only against the African-American/descendants of Africa/Black population, it’s basic human rights, right?

I would have never thought that myself or my loved ones would be shot and killed for wearing a hoodie, blasting their favorite song or simply walking down the street.

I would have never thought I would be grateful for not purchasing a television and logging on to social media to see what’s happening in the world around me and of course picking up my local newspaper.

With technology shouldn’t there be more of an outcry?

As I sit here, this is all I came up with. Continuous research but more of just What Are We Supposed To Do?

For MIKE BROWN.

And this is why Al Sharpton was at the memorial today telling the crowd that many “lies” would be told about Brown in the coming days.

He knew the whole story on the street was going to collapse and he’s just trying to stay ahead of it.

This means the guy named Johnson who was with Michael Brown in the QuikTrip or whatever robbery was LYING when yapping to the media after the shooting. Amazing… knock me over with a feather.

Also, are the arm wounds consistent with ‘hands up’ on a large-build man? It doesn’t seem so.

Old Benjie Chump ain’t happy tonight, payin’ all that $$$ to Dr. Baden, only to have his report undo all Mr. Chump’s dream of a bonanza payout in this case.

  • Hey, I was wondering, can you point me to the article which states Mike Brown was shot because he was “wearing a hoodie” or blasting music? I can’t seem to find it on the internet…

You know what I’m also tired of hearing, no disrespect to my mother and grandmother and the women who came before me who did this faithfully and without hesitation? “In times like this, pray.” How long have we prayed? Our grands and great-grands, our ancestors have prayed, long and hard and while there’s undoubtedly been progress, something else has to give at this point. I saw someone tweet they “feel like their grandfather marched in vain. It meant nothing. We’re here again.” I’m down with “social media activism”, I just wish that we keep these issues alive, even after the media stops reporting the stories, even when the deceased are no longer trending topics across the country, even when “peace is restored.” We have to keep the stories going. We have to continue to stand together. We have to wake up and stop feeding into the lies and speak out. Our voices is what’s most important.
