L. Jinny suspected of being militant ISIS executioner
According to British intelligence agencies MI5 and MI6, Abdel-Majed Abdel Bary is currently being identified as being the executioner in the beheading of American journalist Steven Scotloff this past week and fellow U.S. journalist James Foley sometime last month.
Abdel-Majed, formerly known as L. Jinny or “Jihadi Johnny”, was a somewhat successful London based rap artist who joined the Islamic militant group ISIS in Syria sometime last year.
ISIS threatened the United States with the murders of the captured journalists if they did not stop the air strikes against the Islamic State. When the air strikes continued, Islamic State militants beheaded both Foley and Scotloff while giving a direct message to President Barack Obama. While the United States will not be intimidated, the Islamic State gave a very clear warning that any governments entering into an alliance with the US government against the Islamic State should “back off and leave their people alone.”
