The moment sneaker-heads have been waiting for his almost here

Kanye West is one of the few rappers that have made their signature sneakers “a thing”.  Jay Z‘s Reebok shoes did well for a while, as did 50 Cent’s G-Unit sneakers, and Rick Ross has helped make Reebok immensely popular among Hip-Hop consumers over the past 3 years, but nobody’s done it quite like Kanye. The Nike Air Yeezy 1 and 2 shoes are such a necessity among sneaker heads, they retail for tens-of-thousands of dollars on eBay. Their demand only rose when Nike made the second installment of the shoes, the “Red October” Yeezys available for purchase in a surprise February release, sending the sneaker world in a temporary frenzy.

Yesterday, at his Australia Yeezus show, Kanye announced to the crowd that the shoe’s third installment, the Yeezys IIIs, will be releasing this November. That’s two months for all interested patrons to save their coins, because they’ll retail at a pretty penny. It will be Kanye’s debut Adidas shoe, and his first footwear release and collaboration since leaving Nike after being publicly at odds with Nike CEO Mark Parker for months.

According to Ye, we’re looking at a November release. Hopefully that sticks. He announced to GQ his new single, “All Day” would be dropping in “a few weeks”, but we’e got nothing so far.

Watch his brief announcement above, at roughly the 2:45 mark.
