Elle’s cooking up again
Elle Varner has been pretty quiet since releasing her debut album, Perfectly Imperfect, back in 2012. That album, which featured three impactful records (“Only Wanna Give It 2 U”, “Refill”, “I Don’t Care”), set the stage for Varner to become one of music’s budding R&B/pop stars, garnering praise from the likes of Rolling Stone, who called it “confident”, and First Lady Michelle Obama, who admitted to enjoying the album after her daughter, Malia, recommended it to her.
That beign said, we’ve been awaiting Varner’s follow-up effort for quite some time, and it appears we’re finally about to get it. Elle’s sophomore album, Four Letter Word, is expected to be out later this year, and aside from the promotional single, “Rover”, which features Wale, the A$AP Ferg-featured “Don’t Wanna Dance” will serve as its lead single, and you can check the video out above.
