Third time’s a charm, fourth time’s a…?

Let’s hope its still a charm for Wale, who is entering the most important stage of his career. After a mediocre debut in 2009, Wale took the charts by storm with his 2011 album, Ambition, which was eventually certified Gold, and scored his first ever #1 album when The Gifted snagged Billboard’s top spot last June. Since then, however, Wale has taken a couple hits, including a highly publicized rift with Complex Magazine last December, and several social media bumps in the road, including a short-lived “beef” with Meek Mill earlier this year. Entering his 4th LP, the DMV native reminds everyone that he is well aware of his awkward standing in pop culture with the official trailer for The Album About Nothing, his fourth album. While there’s no timetable for its release, and we’re still awaiting his first single, “Body Like A Benz”, which features Jeremih, there’s no denying that TAAN is no longer just something Wale’s talking about, its happening.
