Jay Z‘z Roc Nation Sports agency has spent the better part of the past year and change signing some of the biggest stars of the four major American sports. Since last year, Geno Smith, Robinson Cano, Kevin Durant, Skylar Diggins and more have inked deals with the sports branch of Jay’s Roc Nation empire, and today, he’s added the ferocious former Defensive Rookie Of The Year Ndamukong Suh to the Roc Nation Sports fold in what will surely be the most important year of the Nebraska alumni’s career.

Suh is entering the final year of his contract with the Detroit Lions, the team that selected the defensive tackle with the 2nd pick in the 2010 NFL Draft. Despite a great start to his professional career, Ndamukong registered less than stellar stats last season, only accounting for 5.5 sacks in what was an overall disappointing season for the Lions, who didn’t qualify for postseason play. He’ll have to play extremely well this season to have any leverage come negotiating time, especially with the emergence of elite defensive players like J. J. Watt, James Laurinitis and Patrick Willis.
