Back in May of this year, we reported on 6 Iranian teens who were literally jailed–as in thrown in jail–once their government caught wind that they had made their own version of Pharrell‘s landmark, record setting and ubiquitous “Happy” music video. People around the world were appalled, and they might be even more shocked once they find out what the clan’s final punishment was.
Because of making what the Tehran Police Chief says was a “vulgar clip which hurt public chastity”, the near future of the “Happy Six” only shows prison. Each of the 6 will be in jail for the next 6 months, and all will be lashed sufficiently–91 times to be exact–in Tehran’s effort to do absolutely nothing.
