When dealing with multiple deaths to gun violence as well as other hardships at an early age, an individual can easily get lost in world but it can also prove how resilient a human being can be. That’s exactly what it shows in the multi-talented creator Amatus; life gave her lemons and she stayed determined by making art and music for the soul. Creating is all that matters to her, whether it’s be music or clothing, Amatus’s preference is to stayed busy and inspired.
Amatus calls her debut EP Broken Compass, not because she’s lost in the world but because she’s inviting listeners on a colorful journey that filled with everything life has to offer. This time around life is giving her something a little bit sweeter with the release of Broken Compass, currently scoring Daisy and Max, a documentary for Al-Jareera America and just completed sound design and scoring duties for the debut of Dominique Morrisseau’s play Sunset Baby at Philip Seymour Hoffman’s award-winning, Labyrinth Theater Group.
