With his new extension, don’t be surprised if Eric Bledsoe has another outstanding season for the new and improved Phoenix Suns. Can he lead them to a playoff spot? Only time will tell but right now, this Wildcat is PAID!

With the NBA season just a couple of weeks away, some interesting news from the front office made headlines. The Phoenix Suns have agreed with restricted free agent Point Guard Eric Bledsoe on a contract deal worth 70 million for 5 years. The former Wildcat standout had a breakout year for the steadily improving Suns. He averaged 17.7 points, 5.5 assists, 4.7 rebounds a contest, showing that the LA Clippers let go an underrated talent to help the point guard role for Chris Paul. Along with NBA Most Improved Player award winner Goran Dragic, Bledsoe was one of the main cornerstones that helped Phoenix go 48-34, a whopping 23 game win improvement from the season before. Even though they didn’t make the playoffs, the Suns’s high flying playing style made them a team to watch out for this upcoming season. Bledsoe’s sneaky athleticism made a lot of hoop fans point their attention to the Alabama high jumper who dazzled the crowd with intense defensive play and SportsCenter worthy finishes at the hoop. If you are a huge hoop fanatic who are looking for potential stars to be perennial all stars, add Eric Bledsoe to your list to look out for.
