Last weekend, The Source’s #SOURCE360 Expo weekend came to a close, ending a very successful four days of panels, performances, showcases, a major concert and networking opportunities galore–in case you weren’t able to attend, we recapped all the best moments here. This week, Ad Week 2014 is upon us, and #SOURCE360 isn’t slowing down at all, as we present a very engaging music and marketing panel. Tomorrow morning at 11 AM, in conjunction with The Source & The Cipher Group, Riyhana Bey (VP, Accounts & Strategy, Spike DDB), Chaka Pilgrim (VP, Roc Nation) & L. Londell McMillan, Esq (Chairman, The NorthStar Group) will come together for the 360 Engagement: Music, Marketing & Media panel at B.B. Kings in Times Square, NYC. Among the topics discussed will be whether or not it makes sense for artists to sign 360 deals and if record companies will even exist in 10 years. They’ll also touch on one of the most important–and sensitive–topics on the minds of music executives, advertising agencies and marketing specialists everywhere: Has advertising been beneficial to record companies’ partnerships with artists and agencies or is it merely another medium through which the culture is being watered down for the purpose of capital gain? Ad Week attendees, please join us tomorrow at 11 AM sharp as these panelists engage not only each other, in a very intriguing discussion.
