Gambino surprises everyone with his new project
Over the past year, Childish Gambino has emerged as one of rap’s not-so-obvious stars, and inserted himself into the elite conversation with the fourth-highest selling Hip-Hop album of 2013 (Because The Internet) and a radio hit to boot (“3005” has been certified Gold and cracked the Billboard R&B/Hip-Hop Top 20). To capitalize on his success, Gambino has dropped his new mixtape–which was announced over a month ago, but a release date was never revealed–without warning, a collaboration with DJ Drama and his Gangsta Grillz mixtape series.
