In 2009 Jay Z released the track “Death Of Auto-tune”, about 2 month ago, long running TV Game Show Jeopardy may have put the kibosh on the term “shade” or “throwing shade”. Nicki Minaj definitely made it pop with her BET Awards speech, but Alex Tribeck and his staff of writers may have just killed the handy term.
