Quiet as kept, T.I.’s got his sights on 4th quarter glory
T.I. is just about set to release his first album in nearly 2 years, and he’s got a brand new executive producer, label, and mindset headed into his 9th LP. Paperwork is expected to be released on October 21st, and it’ll be T.I.’s first album on Columbia Records. Pharrell, who engineered T.I.’s signing to Columbia, is the album’s executive producer, and he’s the producer of the latest record off it, the title track, “Paperwork.” The single, which sounds like it could be performed live at The Cotton Club in the 1970’s, features Pharrell using an eerie blues voice to anchor the soulful track, and T.I. in story-telling form. This is the fourth release from Paperwork, and if the first three are any indication of what to expect in 2 weeks’ time, we should have yet another dope album from Mr. T.I.P.
