With the success of television shows based on comic book series (see: The Walking Dead, Arrow, The Flash, Gotham, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.), a small-screen adaptation of the X-Men makes sense.  Bleeding Cool, who recently broke the news of a Supergirl television series, which was later confirmed by CBS, have now announced that a live-action series based within the X-Men universe could be coming soon.

Considering the prosperity and popularity of the X-Men film series, particularly since it’s quasi-reboot in 2011 with X-Men: First Class, this should prove to be a lucrative venture. The series which will air on FOX, who are said to be in “deep development” for the show, will reportedly focus on Peter David‘s X-Factor story arc from the early 90’s comic book series. Shawn Madden of EatGeekPlay.com has since took to Twitter to provide some more details.
