Who ever said that the shortest player on the court is a non factor may want to keep their mouth shut for a while. Just ask newly acquired Phoenix Sun’s guard Isaiah Thomas. The 5″9 mighty mouse stepped onto the court and contributed heavily for his Suns, as they went up against the Los Angeles Lakers in Las Vegas, Nevada. The high rising 25 year old guard dropped 26 points as he helped the Suns defeat Kobe Bryant and the Lakers 114-108 in overtime.

One of his 26 points came in this footage as a missed three point attempt landed in the hands of the former Washington Huskie great. He showed that he was as cold as ice as he knocked down the jumper, sending the game into overtime . In addition, his swagger did some talking as he gave a convincing staredown to the champ himself, Floyd Mayweather Jr. Now the entire sports world knows Floyd competitiveness in the ring as he remains undefeated heading into the final fights of his illustrious career. Some fans may not know that Floyd continues to show that competitive fire outside the ring by placing huge bets on sporting events and showing the winning (and sometimes losing) receipts  on Instagram. So in case you are wondering why all of that comical but random tension, let’s just assume that Isaiah got word that Money Mayweather put his racks up for the wrong team and Thomas made him pay for it.

What a way to bring momentum to the team as we are less than 10 days to the start of the official 2014-2015 NBA season. The preseason lookin at fans like
