TDE has 60 days left to make good on their “six albums in 2014” promise, and with Jay Rock and Kendrick Lamar albums still hanging in the balance, they’ve certainly got some work to do. That being said, there are some promising indications that both will be released before the ball drops, especially considering Jay Rock’s released two records and a music video in the past two weeks. As far as Kendrick goes, there are whispers of records he’s been working on, “i”, and now a big time stage performance. Saturday Night Live will play host to Kendrick’s talents on November 15th, with guest host Woody Harrelson.  Harrelson is one of the more sought after actors at the moment, and despite he and Matthew McConaughey being replaced by Colin Farrell and Vince Vaughn as the lead roles on True Detective, Harrelson still has a major look: the third installment of The Hunger Games, Mockingjay Pt. 1, coming later this month.

Kendrick will undoubtedly perform his latest single, “i”–which is quickly gaining in popularity thanks to it’s current position as the NBA’s theme song–and with luck, some new material. Still no word on a release date or an album title, but good things come to those who wait. Below is Kendrick’s last appearance on SNL, following the release of his platinum debut album, good kid, m.A.A.d. city.
