Drake and T.I.‘s friendship dates back to at least 2010, when they traded guest appearances on each other’s albums (“Fancy”, Thank Me Later; “Poppin’ Bottles, No Mercy), and Drake has made his admiration for Tip no secret, telling a tale of an important conversation they had on 2011’s loosie cut, “Club Paradise.” Well, since T.I.’s Paperwork tour made a stop in Toronto last night, it was only right. Drake and his buddy, “DNF” rapper P. Reign, both made surprise guest appearances during Tip’s time on stage, dancing to fellow OVO rapper iLoveMakonnen‘s hit single, “Tuesday,” and performing a slew of their buzzing records, including “DNF,” “0-100,” and one of Drake’s latest cuts, “6 God.” It’s no surprise everyone in the crowd seemingly knew the word to every song–Drake performing in Toronto is a cheat code of sorts–and it’s great to see these guys are still well connected.
