The eagle has landed

Yesterday, several reports, ranging from Amazon to KanyeToThe, indicated that J. Cole would be releasing an album in December. Shortly after, J. Cole confirmed via his Twitter account that his 3rd LP, 2014 Forest Hills Drive–named after an address in his hometown of Fayetteville, North Carolina that holds significant sentimental value to the Roc Nation emcee–will be released on December 9th. Not much more information followed, with the exception of the album artwork–which is below–and a 7-minute trailer, which you can watch above. It will be Cole’s second album in as many years, with Born Sinner impacting last summer. We don’t know what to expect, but if any of Cole’s guest spots over the past 17 months are any indication, that Album of the Year poll could have a late addition to the ballot.
