Bobby Johnson got a little too generous. The German hip-hop producer responsible for Que‘s breakout hit “OG Bobby Johnson” recently struck gold again with Beyonce‘s viral “7/11” video, but it’s now known that the galactic-beat wasn’t originally intended for her. In fact, it was first handed to Chicago rapper ACE B8gie. Back in July, ACE released “Bird’s Eye View,” a track off his The B8gie Foo’ Blues EP that uses the same exact beat.
Although his beat got snatched, ACE B8gie isn’t too upset by the news. Rather, he is grateful.
