Fans from all over packed the Hollywood Palladium to see New York’s very own ASAP Mob. Looking out into the crowd from two perspectives provided me with an insane sense of culture. The first came from the bird’s eye VIP view during Chicago’s own Tink and Saba’s performances. Saba opened up the Red Bull #30daysinLA event with an edgy and quite provocative set. Echoes of “PIVOT!” filled the concert hall. Then fellow Chicagoan, Tink, took the stage to bless the fans with her short, but eclectic musical collection.

When the lights went out and the clock struck 11:30pm, the sold out crowd started chanting A$AP, A$AP. All of the 4,000 fans went nuts when they heard the clique’s leader A$AP Rocky’s voice. From my up close and personal photographer’s view, I looked in the eyes of cheering fans and I could feel the joy and excitement that A$AP Mob provided them. With hits like “Shabba,” “Work”, and “Goldie,” large mosh pits easily formed in the center of the floor.

One of the surprises of the night came from a special guest appearance from Drizzy Drake. He performed his verse from ILOVEMAKONNEN’s very catchy “Tuesday” record to the fans delight. Then it was ASAP Rocky’s turn to get “Wild For The Night.” His big grin said it all as the ASAP Mob closed out Red Bull’s month long LA concert series to the tune of “Multiply.”
