Many artists have offered up dedication songs in lieu of the deaths of Mike Brown in Ferguson and Eric Garner in NYC, however, rappers have been making songs about the decades long epidemic of police brutality in the Black community. With the international attention on these cases, Canada’s DJ Akiin drops a project that showcases many of the songs that have addressed the problem with police brutality including artists like KRS-1, Main Source, N.W.A., dead prez, J.Cole, the legendary Tupac Shakur, and many more.
