UPDATE: See video of Diddy accusing Drake of stealing the “0-100” beat here

The best part about this whole Diddy and Drake feud is the internet frantically scrambling to figure out what sparked the fight. Initially, there were heavy rumors that Drake had taken his Mr. Steal Your Girl band to Cassie‘s backyard, but that was quickly proved to be nothing less than a Twitter rumor started by Lil Duval. A more plausible reason came from the Post yesterday, claiming their squabble was over the rights to music.

Well, today that has been confirmed in detail thanks to a source from Boi-1da‘s–the producer of the song in question–camp. TMZ is reporting that Boi-1da initially sent the beat to both Diddy and Drake “8 months ago,” but Drake was the first of the two to make a song out of it. The source from 1da’s camp has confirmed that the song, which is just really one long darn good Drake verse, is now what we know to be the Grammy nominated track “0-100.”

A Miss Info report from one of her “insiders” elaborates a bit on the story.

Apparently Diddy was given that beat first, eventually sent it to Drake to put a verse on it, but as we all know Drake released “0 to 100″ as a freestyle using the beat instead. Reportedly, the beat was made during a series of sessions in Miami where Puff flew Boi-1da down…but turned down the beat. Which would make it up for grabs.

Should Drake win one of the two Grammy awards he’s up for thanks to “0-100,” will he thank Diddy for not rapping on it?

Lastly, that bit about Drake going to the hospital is reportedly accurate. According to TMZ, Puff’s punch–say that 5 times fast–“exacerbated an old injury” that Drake had, which led to his ER visit.
