Government Reaches Out to Uninsured Through 7-11 Receipts

The Department of Health and Human Services is encouraging Americans without health insurance to enroll in  a qualified health plan.  The open enrollment period for 2015 coverage is November 15, 2014  to February 15, 2015.

There are 7,800 7-11 convenience stores across the United States.  So, the Department of Health and Human Services has decided to use the chain’s success to reach out to consumers who have yet to enroll in a health care plan.  From December 14, 2014 to  February 15, 2015, customers will receive customized receipts (drafted by the PayNearMe company) that direct consumers to HealthCare.gov.
