Whether your a fan of Kobe or not, your hat has to come off for the Mamba. Since being drafted in 96′, Kobe has made countless contributions to  the league and will definitely leave a lasting impact long after his playing days are over. Last night, Kobe Bryant once again broke headlines when he surpassed Michael Jordan on the NBA’s all time scoring list which places him firmly behind former Lakers Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and Karl Malone.

Now in his 19th season, Kobe Bryant has totaled exactly 32,310 points in the NBA beating out MJ for the 3rd spot in which he totaled in 32,292 points. With a pair of free throws officially pushing Kobe up on the all-time list, the Lakes 100-94 win over the Minnesota Timberwolves was the icing on the cake.

After the game, ESPN caught up with Kobe and he had this to say about his recent accomplishment:

“I’m just honored to be here, man, to still be playing,” Bryant said. “I appreciate being able to play this long. Careers normally don’t last this long. I really appreciate the opportunity to still be out there playing and performing and doing what I do.”

It’s nothing short of amazing to see even after 19 year of being in the game, Kobe is still able to do the unimaginable. To put it simply like Lebron James tweeted yesterday, Kobe is without a doubt a “living legend.”

Drew may be a die-hard MJ fan, but what Kobe did was unthinkable. Talk sports and why Kobe is considered a great on twitter with him @Drewtheabstract.
