Thanks to a group of hackers calling themselves Guardians of Peace, leaked Sony e-mails are revealing everything from execs calling Kevin Hart a “whore” to their progress on new Spiderman and Destiny’s Child movies. Well, there’s something even more interesting going on, and it’s the possibility of Kanye West bringing a new film to life to build on the success of the “multi-screen experience” West he debuted at the Cannes Film Festival in 2012 to big screen’s everywhere, with a little help from Sony.

According to the leaked e-mails, this was an e-mail sent to Amy Pascal at Sony, from Elon Rutberg, Kanye West’s creative director.

I supervise all of Kanye’s film and media projects, and we have a major film project coming up that involves both cinematic and technological innovation, so I naturally thought Sony and wanted to reach out,” wrote Rutberg. “We premiered a multi-screen cinema experience to great response at Cannes 2012, and are looking to take the storytelling to the next level with a feature length film, shot for an immersive cinema experience.

Aw man. This will be interesting. We hope Kanye hasn’t lost sight on delivering a brand new music project first, however. The new single he said he would release “in a few weeks” back in May is still not out.
