As her third official studio album, The Pinkprint, hit shelves this past Monday, Nicki Minaj has been on a rigorous promo run, doing press at almost every major platform, including ESPN’s Sportscenter. The Jamaica, Queens MC stopped by The Angie Martinez Show and dished on the new project, and how it came to fruition. Some of the highlights include her detailing how the Beyoncé collaboration “Feeling Myself” came about, as well as joking about possibly dating Philadelphia rapper Meek Mill.
Martinez highlighted that some of the music on her project is much darker than her previous work, and in a rather uncharacteristic move, the very private Minaj opened up to Angie about her relationship with ex-boyfriend Safaree Samuels, even becoming emotional when going into detail.
