Tragedy strikes again in STL, cop shoots 18-year old he says was armed
Just after 11pm last night in Berkeley, Missouri, a township of St. Louis, a police officer fatally shot an 18-year old boy, Antonio Martin, after he allegedly pointed a gun at a cop. Martin was reportedly with his friend, who fled the scene. Police say Martin’s gun was recovered by authorities. Below is St. Louis PD spokesman Sgt. Brian Schellman‘s statement.

Martin’s mother gave her account on what her son was doing when he was shot to NBC News.
“He only just left the house to go see his girlfriend. Maybe he started to run and they got shooting.” She didn’t think her son was carrying a gun.
