Months after the announcement of The Walking Dead companion series, details are finally beginning to roll out. The series will be titled Cobalt and will take place in Los Angeles. Cobalt exists within the same Walking Dead universe as the main series with an entirely different cast, headed by Cliff Curtis in the male lead role (Live Free or Die Hard, Blow, Training Day). Curtis will play “Sean Cabrera”, a divorced teacher and overall “good guy” who’s in a romantic relationship with Kim Dickens‘ (Sons of Anarchy, Gone Girl, Friday Night Lights) character Nancy, who’s described as a mother of “two children from a previous marriage, and looks like the girl next door but has a darkness to her, a troubled past that will come back to haunt her” on Uproxx.
