Nike celebrates Black History Month the swaggy way
Nike continues to play a vital role in the sports apparel and sneaker game. Overwhelming sneaker heads with nothing but exclusive under-the-radar releases, Nike has decided to team up with the Ever Higher Fund organization to release their Black History Month collection. The popular footwear has decided to choose 6 athletes and coaches who had a powerful impact on the sport they dominated in a courageous and driven factor. This years honorees consist of skateboarder Theotis Beasley, Ghana/FC Schalke 04 Soccer Club captain Kevin-Prince Boateng, NFL legend Jerry Rice, Brianna Rollins, Rutgers Scarlet Knights female basketball head coach C. Vivian Stringer and former Georgetown Hoya males basketball coach John Thompson. The kickoff to this amazing collection will be released to the public this upcoming Saturday January 17, 2015. A portion of proceeds from the sale of the 2015 BHM Collection will be going to the Ever High Fund organization to support the service in the power of sports in underprivileged communities.
