This weekend rapper Eminem visited a terminally ill fan who just recently passed away early Monday afternoon.

Gage Garmo, 17, suffered from a rare type of bone cancer called Osteosarcoma.

However, apart from his failing health, he was able to meet his favorite rapper due to GoFundMe, which is an organization that grants wishes to terminally ill kids.

Garmo friends set the account for Garmo and his family wanting to raise awareness of Garmo’s wish to meet Detroit Rapper Eminem. The story immediately went viral on social media.

Fortunately, Garmo’s wish was granted on Sunday evening—Em showed up at his house in Rochester Hills, Michigan and spent an hour talking and hanging out in the family’s living room. They [Garmo and Em] spoke about Hip-Hop and football as Garmo’s parents and younger sister looked on.

Garmo’s family said the visit with the 42-year-old rapper was really uplifting, they hadn’t seen their son that happy in a long time.

However, just about 24 hours after receiving his wish, Garmo died of the disease. He would have turned 18 this upcoming Friday.

A candlelight vigil was held on Sunday night by friends and family at Rochester High School’s football field.

Our thoughts and prayers goes out to Garmo’s family and friends.
