Since LeBron James jumped into the national spotlight at the tender age of 17, he was mentioned among the great’s and not just in high school but the pros. The comparisons between him and dare we say it “the greatest to ever play the game” Michael Jordan, have been so apparent for years that we as fans became accustomed to it and took it in as the norm.

But, as fans can we be really be blamed for the comparisons?

Well, Houston Rockets legend Hakeem Olajuwon had enough of the comparisons and voiced his opinion in an interview with CNBC’s Worlwide Exchange.  He had this to say below:

“When people start comparing him with Jordan then that’s not a fair comparison. Jordan was a far more superior player in a very tough league, he was very creative.” “That’s not taking away anything from LeBron because he is a great player but it is not a fair comparison because Jordan is a far superior player.”

Woah. Seems like Olajuwon made his mind  up, but do you think he made a fair statement? LeBron is a great player with two championships under his belt and four MVP’s to his name but in contrast to Mike, his six championships and five NBA championships trump LBJ to date.
