The 2013 Cy Young winner has found a new home.

Baseball’s #1 free agent is headed to the Washington Nationals. According to FOX Sports‘ Ken Rosenthal, former Tigers pitcher Max Scherzer has agreed to a seven-year contract with the Nationals worth more than $180 million. In terms of average annual value, this would make him the second-highest paid pitcher in the MLB, behind only Clayton Kershaw of the  Los Angeles Dodgers. Scherzer, the 2013 Cy Young Award winner, will join a rotation that led the league in ERA (3.04).

Does this move make the Nationals immediate title contenders? Let us know on our Facebook or Twitter page.
