Iggy Spoke about her hopes for her second album and her excitement about her first ever upcoming arena tour. Iggy said in her interview that even if she were to be forgotten or overlooked in three or four years, that she believes she “sparked a change” by  inspiring “leniency in what people accept in hip-hop.”

At this moment we’re all probably thinking about the ongoing controversy between Iggy  and Azealia Banks and the opinions Banks expressed on her Hot 97 interview regarding hip-hop culture. Going back to Iggy, she tells GQ that she’s able to cope with drama and peoples’ harsh opinions because ultimately about the fans. Iggy very honestly says, “Well, I don’t really care what someone in the industry or another artist has to say about it. Your opinion is biased anyway, because you want people to listen to your voice. So having actual people who choose me, it makes me think, I have a place, and I don’t care what other people have to say about it.” Whether you love her or hate her, it seems like she’s going to be around for awhile, for the full interview head over to GQ
