One Shot Judge Mike Smith agrees: “We’re looking for the ‘it’ factor to accompany that talent,” he told The Source. Smith who is also co-owner of SMH Records believes that anyone can rap these days so challenges contestants to offer more. “Someone who shows up, blows our minds, and makes us go, ‘Dude! We f*****g need that person on our team?”

Famed journalist, author, and on-air personality Kathy Iandoli who is also a One Shot Personality is excited that T.I. is part of the project in the ATL this weekend.”There isn’t a better artist currently out of Atlanta who understands that area like T.I.,” said Iandoli. “Considering he holds the double duty of artist and head of Grand Hustle, Tip spots the talent while still being the talent. I think he’s going to offer some great insight for these artists on Sunday. I’m excited to hear what he has to say; he’s always so honest and animated.”

“One Shot is an opportunity of a lifetime,” said DJ King Tech “I’ll be in ATL looking to find the next Eminem, Jay Z, Kendrick or Nicki. Atlanta is full of talent and that’s why we are coming to town. Don’t lose your one shot.”

As One Shot approaches its air date, it has been announced that contestants on the show will perform in front of celebrity hip-hop judges. So far, T.I., The Game, DJ Khaled, RZA, Tech N9ne, Charlemagne The God, Twista, Scarface, Joell Ortiz, E-40, DJ Drama and more have been revealed for the show. “The cast of One Shot is the truth the way and the light,” said GUnit Radio’s Jack Thriller who will serve as One Shot’s Correspondent. “One Shot is the future get with it or get left behind.”

The judges will determine the final four rappers from each of the eight cities, who will then enter the studio with producer Jonathan Hay and Mike Smith to get ready for the main event and a chance to get to move onto the show’s season finale, which will be held in Las Vegas.”Knowing the influence that Atlanta has had on Hip Hop, I’m excited to see the up and coming talent this city has to offer,” said Kim Osorio who serves as a writer, producer and on camera personality for the show.

With the success of a recent show in Charlotte, NC all eyes are set for Atlanta and everybody is excited. “This is an opportunity of a lifetime for so many aspiring artists, to be able to come out and show off their skills in front people like RZA and T.I., I’m sure all the contestants are going to be on their A game.”

Jonathan Hay, a One Shot Mentor and producer agrees: “What I saw in Charlotte blew me away. I really hope the other cities can compete with what I witnessed in North Carolina. I hope every city brings it that way. People were camped out overnight, slept in their cars and waited hours and hours to audition.”
