According to Lakers insiders, star guard Kobe Bryant, who injured his shoulder in the second half of Wednesday’s game against the New Orleans Pelicans in the Big Easy, has suffered a torn rotator cuff, shown by preliminary results of MRI exam.
Bryant took the MRI in San Antonio and will return to Los Angeles later on Thursday where he will be examined by team doctors on Friday.
In a bit of irony, nine years ago today, Bryant scored 81 points against the Toronto Raptors. Today, Bryant has a tear of the rotator cuff and very uncertain future.
An update on his condition will be issued at that time, the Lakers said.
