Last night, Casey Veggies hosted a small gathering at Sweet Chick on the Lower East Side of NYC to help raise awareness that he is back off hiatus, and his proper, yet-to-be-titled debut album, will be released in the coming months on Vested In Culture/Epic Records. Veggies, who is managed by Roc Nation, hasn’t released a project since 2013’s Life Changes–which is celebrating its second birthday today–and took a considerable amount of time to work on his official debut. Since then, we’ve gotten a couple tasters of what to expect–the Hit-Boy-produced “The Boy,” and his current banger, the YG-assisted “Backflip”–and according to a source at Epic Records, we’ll finally find out what the Inglewood, CA native has been working on for so long this spring.

In celebration with his album being “almost” done, and his release date nearing, Casey took to Sweet Chick last night to serve up “Backflip” drinks to his guests and remind everyone that though he’s been gone for a couple years, it’s time to go. Check out a gallery of the festivities above.
