College Park, GA may be in for a treat.
Known for his goofy lyrics and fruity outfits, 2 Chainz may not even seem like the most intelligent rapper, let alone a politician. However, what many people don’t realize is that 2 Chainz is actually very educated. The 37-year-old rapper attended Alabama State University on a basketball scholarship, and recently one-upped Nancy Grace during a debate over marijuana. Now, Mr. Chainz plans to take on bigger endeavors. In an interview with XXL, 2 Chainz revealed that he has serious intentions to run for mayor of his hometown of College Park, GA.
“I’m supposed to be running for mayor in College Park. I got everybody wishing. I’m really gonna do this little mayor thing in College Park. I’m just trying to make sure I have the right qualifications,” he told XXL.
According to the Atlanta Journal Constitution, 2 Chainz is “looking forward to running at the end of this year or next year.”
