For years, the boxing world has anxiously awaited a possible matchup between Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao, who have both extensively been accused by promoters and each other of ducking and dodging negotiations to set up the bout. Recently, rumors have been somewhat substantiated by high-ranking boxing promoter Bob Arum, who confirmed a couple weeks ago that Manny Pacquiao’s team has reached a deal to fight Mayweather this May.
The longer the rumors and fake reports perpetuate, the more mythical an actual date where Mayweather and Pacquiao will actually step into a ring and duke it out becomes. At this point, the chances of the fight itself actually delivering on all the hype are slim to none, but it’s still entertaining to discuss. Apparently, this sentiment is shared by the boxers themselves, who both sat courtside at last night’s Miami Heat game in Miami. At halftime, both boxers walked up to each other, and had an exchange–not exactly like the one above, which is pretty hilarious–but Pacman did say that the two potential foes did exchange numbers, and decided that it’s time for them to handle things themselves–an idea as ludicrous as the voice over in the above Vine clip.
