Well done Demarcus, well done
Five years ago today (1.30.2010) a sports writer named Clay Travis, of Outkick The Coverage and Fox Sports, tweeted something pretty ominous about Kentucky Wildcat standout and current Sacramento Kings NBA All-Star snub DeMarcus Cousins.
There is a 100% chance that Demarcus Cousins is arrested for something in the next five years. 100%. Write it in stone.
DeMarcus Cousins did just that–write it in stone–and five years later (1.30.2015), he’s making said writer eat his darn words.
Travis, who probably forgot all about that prediction, tipped his hat to Cousins via Twitter, and has been taking so much flack for it that he’s become a trending topic.
Incredibly funny and well played. RT @boogiecousins: Today’s the day!! Let’s all show him some love!! @ClayTravisBGID http://t.co/YvAQrXDRwl

Good for Cousins. This should add a silver lining to what’s been an otherwise rough week. His Kings lost the only 2 games they’ve played in the past week, and despite a stellar first-half to the season–24 points, 12 rebounds, 3 assists per game–DMC was left off the NBA All-Star roster.
