Former New York Knick Great Suffers Another Heart Attack

Fan favorite Anthony Mason is currently fighting for his life as he suffered a massive heart attack

In the eve of some amazing energy surrounding the city of New York, some bad news arised as the sports fans in the Big Apple are in complete awe. Former New York Knick great Anthony Mason has suffered a crucial heart attack, his 4th one within the past recent months since having multiple surgeries. The 13 year veteran is currently fight for his life as former players and the Knick organization has been tweeting out nothing but support and prayer for Mason’s family.

Best known for his hardcore intensity and defensive tenacity, Mason was a fan favorite amongst the truest and most passionate Knick fans around. The former NBA all-star played a major role along with Patrick Ewing, John Starks, Greg Anthony and Charles Oakley for the 1994-1995 Knick team who came just a couple of games short of winning the NBA Finals under head coach Pat Riley. That year he was awarded the NBA 6th man of the year honor.

Mason has two sons who currently play college basketball in the Division I level. Anthony Mason Jr currently plays for Steve Lavin‘s St. Johns University basketball team while his eldest son, Antoine is currently on the roster for Auburn University after transferring from Niagara University where he was the nation’s leading scorer.
