It was indeed a great evening at the Industria Studios with all the amazing designer collections on display. Each with a different feel and atmosphere upon walking into the separate showrooms every designer had something offer and kept you interested with the staging, music, styling and the designs themselves.
When I walked into the The A/W15 collection for Hickey Freeman sportswear, the atmosphere was lively. I felt like I was walking into a Kentucky derby or an upscale racing event. The models looked very chic with the tailored designs and dress shirts by David Hart. A leather and shearling bomber, reverse twill field jackets, and rich neutrals were accented by vibrant colors and luxurious styling. This collection cannot be limited to any one category of style and each look was built around today’s modern man showing diversity and transitional wardrobe staples to fit the everyday social activities of men. Diversity at its best, David Hart really knows how to represent the evolving needs of men with this sporty, youthful and luxurious collection. The collection was inspired by the early days of American aviation. References include the modernist photojournalist, Willi Ruge’s, iconic imagery of parachuting and skydiving in the early 20th Century.
The collection was presented as a part of New York Men’s Day (NYMD) sponsored by Cadillac at Industria Studios.
