Friday the 13th brought out all the ladies in the Tri-state to Newark, New Jersey’s Prudential center for a Ladies Night Extravaganza. A sold out stadium was filled with love tunes just in time for Valentine’s Day.
Jagged Edge, Avant, Tank and Jaheim headlined the showed, which was a sweet treat for many who love R&B. The audience was transported back to the 90’s and heard hits like Jagged Edge’s “I Gotta Be”, and “Where The Party At.” Avant performed “Separated” and “My First Love.” Next there were surprise performances byJeff Redd, Lil’ Kim, and Al B. Sure. Lil’ Kim performed “No Time” and her verse from “All About The Benjamins.” Al B. Sure! serenaded the audience with “The Secret Garden”. Marley Marl kept the party live in between acts playing classic Hip Hop and house tracks throughout the night.
Tank showcased his vocals and abs (which the ladies loved) with his a cappella performance of “Maybe I Deserve” and hit “Please Don’t Go”. In honor of Valentine’s Day make sure you check out his free EP “If You Were Mine” with some new music and a few covers. Jaheim closed out the show with a full live band and ballads we always want to here. The concert was a great start to our Valentine’s Day Weekend.
