The Desigual Fall/Winter 2015 collection was fun, flirty, vibrant and sophisticated.

The collection featured lively mosiac-like prints with a variety of textures and floral accents. The collection ranged from turtlenecks to ruffled, sleeveless dresses to a combination of both, each accessorized with yellow suede ankle boots. The muted black, white and grays brought the prints to life. The collection included narrow form fitting silhouettes juxtaposed with oversized sweaters. Silk, wool, cotton and jersey were strutted down the runway by these fun and flirty models. The hair, makeup and nails added the perfect finishing touches to perfect these model’s ensembles. The hair was big and bold to balance the weight and composition of the garments, the nails were jackson pollock-esque and somehow matched the entire collection and the makeup was subtle and natural allowing the beauty of both the collection and the models to shine.

Many stars attended the show yesterday including Katie Holmes, Drake, Nigel Barker, Harley Viera Newton, Mademoiselle Yulia and Pauline Lefevre. Everyone enjoyed collection and appreciated Desigual’s happy and upbeat runway walk, a nice break away from the intensity of most runways. The collection exuded youth and confidence, while contrasting the standards of straightened hair and caked face. The collection is fun, playful and over-the-top, but the mixture of textures and prints celebrates and embraces a variety of beauty and fashion.
