Earlier this month, Stephen Curry fenced off competition to win the 3-point contest, which featured NBA stars like Kyrie Irving, James Harden, and Kyle Korver. The Warriors‘ MVP candidate is having a career-defining season, averaging 23.6 points and nearly 8 assists per game. We know that Curry is good, but newly-released video from the Toronto Star reveals just how talented he was at an early age.

“The way he handled the ball, his go-to-moves, the way he would pull up for jumpers — it was the exact same . . . It’s incredible to watch him now,” Casey Field, Curry’s 8th grade teammate, told the Star.

Watch above as a young Curry (#12) makes shot after shot for the Queensway Christian College Saints grade 7 and 8 team, who finished undefeated that season.
