Australian rapper Iggy Azalea has been the object of much scorn in the Hip-Hop world over the past year. First it was the topic of cultural appropriation and allegedly presenting herself as a caricature of rappers. Another point of contention has been her squabbles on social media. Whether it was her back and forth with Snoop Dogg, or disregarding a Hip-Hop history lesson by Q-Tip, social media wasn’t kind to her, prompting her to leave Twitter altogether. Let’s also not forget her ongoing feud with Harlem rapper Azealia Banks, who has been going for the jugular in recent years, calling Iggy out over racist lyrics, cultural vandalism, and even the similar name.

Last night, Saturday Night Live brought some Hip-Hop to their sketch series and performed a skit titled “The Iggy Azalea Show”. On it, cast member Kate McKinnon (who does mean Bieber impression by the way), played the role of Aussie with hilarious results. With cultural appropriation being the satirical theme of the sketch, cast members Jay Pharaoh played the role of T.I., Sasheer Zamata as Azealia Banks and host Chris Hemsworth as an Australian RiFF RaFF doppelgänger.
